Not sure what to say?

Sounds like an incredible guy who lived an amazing life and positively impacted so many.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family especially, his sister Patricia whom I work with at Raymour. She too, is an impressive, strong and an amazing person as well.

I worked with John at WENE in 1977 - 1978. He was a great guy. My prayers go out to his family and friends who I am sure will miss him.

Arlene & boys, so sorry for your loss of a great man who had the respect & love of many. Hold dear your memories for they shall sustain you in this time of sorrow.

As a young person in the Southern Tier in the 1970s and 1980s, I first remember John Carter on WAAL, which ruled rock radio and local airwaves at the time. John Carter's smooth, amiable on-air presence set him apart. He came across as a fan of the music, just like his listeners. The event featured an exhibit of...

Deepest sympathy to Arlene and all of John's family....I had the pleasure of a day of sailing with John and Arlene many years ago, and it is still a special memory.....Mo McPhee

Arlene and family,
Although many miles had separated us these past few years, I continued to consider John a treasured friend. The association between us existed on several levels: John III was a good friend of my son, Adam. My brother Tom and I had the privilege of playing a few engagements with John, and those were extremely memorable. John also served as emcee for both of my children's weddings, one of which required him to travel to the NC coast. The last conversation I had with John...

So sorry to hear of John carter's passing... my condolences and deepest sympathies to the whole clan...

John and I worked on many projects through the years as a narration talent on many of our video productions. I am just shocked as you and your family are! What a talented guy who made it so much fun to work with! Many hours cracking up laughing in the studio! John even offered to DJ my wedding even though he had given up that crazy gig! My best to you and your extended family Arlene - he will be missed by all.

I am so sorry to hear of Johns passing. we lost touch with each other in recent years. Please accept my deepest condolences,
Sincerely,
Barry Schecter
