We were talking about Mr. Saldaña the other night, at a birthday party for one of his granddaughters, and I was reminded again of just how a great a man he was. His WWII survival story is worthy of a feature-length film, but his accomplishments before and after the war, and the legacy of family and service he left in his passing, are worthy of so much more. I feel privileged to know some of Mr. Saldaña's kin, and SO glad I got to know him, however briefly, in the years before he passed...

Mr. Saldana was a fine gentleman. He will be missed. He had such an imnpact on so many postal employees and friends. May God comfort you in your loss.
