John Salem

I worked as Administative Assistant for John Salem from 1987 until 1999 with Maryland Casualty and Zurich. I totally enjoyed my many years working with this most intelligent man. He always treated me the utmost professional respect. He taught me so much during the years with him that helped me prepare for a continued career in the claims department as Admin Assistant with the company after his retirement. My sincere condolences to Evelyn and Kelly. Everyone knew how much he adored you...

Dear Evelyn,
John was a major part of my work career for almost all of the 19 years that I was his employee. He was a great mentor and friend, loyal to his employer, employees and his family. Once I did outdrive him (by three feet) with a golf shot while playing on a course and he didn't speak for the next three holes. I look forward to seeing John again in heaven as he will probably be giving golf instructions to someone else! With a towel over his shoulder. God bless you and the family.

I worked for John while at Zurich Ins. He was a fine man and treated us all well. We decided to retire at about the same time and I know he enjoyed his time on the golf coarse and with Evelyn. Just to hear him talk about her you knew she was the love of his life. God Bless.
