Here's a 1984 photo of John from our family album.
So sorry for your loss Janet, Marianne, Wayne, Erin, and Emily. John Salomone was wise, kind, and moral man. What I will miss most in the years to come, I think, are the opportunities to resume our philosophical discussions about social injustices. I'm happy to have known him. He was an exceptional reader, thinker, and humanitarian. I will always think of John as one of the last of the genuine 'street philosophers', in the tradition of Eric Hoffer.

Uncle John was a great man who left a real impression on me. He indeed always was able to lighten a situation with a well timed joke or interesting story. My wife Julie and I still have several of the crosses he made adorned in our home. They will always remind me of him when I see them. A fitting tribute to a great man.
