John Bennett Samuelson

We were very sorry to hear of John's passing. Somehow it seemed he'd always be there. He was very much part of our lives in Alaska, and we treasured his friendship.

It is with sadness that we say adieu to our long time family friend and with gladness to have known him so well and for so long. Wishing peace for his family. From the Vail family, and Dave and Alison Perea.

John helped me build my house in 1979, and always had good advice as to where to put the boards. I should have followed his advice more closely.

Our condolences to John's family and friends. He was a great guy and a wonderful dancer!

I choose to remember all the times we laughed and there are so many memories that still make me smile. He took us camping but never gave me the gun only the flashlight and I think he eventually even took that away. Boat trip to Prince William sound in mid-June when asked if he brought the tide book he said "don't need tide book". Small date detail...it was the summer solstice.
