Schrader Funeral Home and Crematory - Ballwin Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce after a long and incredible journey, the passing of John (Jack) Frederick Sanders, age 79. He joined his parents, Donald and Pat Sanders, in heaven on February 23, 2023. He passed away surrounded with love from his wife and daughters.

Jack was born on September 3, 1943. He graduated Southwest High School in 1961 after building a great group of friends and meeting his future wife, Jane (Matula).

Jack had a strong and solid work ethic. He began his professional journey at Churchhill Trucklines. He joined the Army Reserves. Then spent the majority of his career with Sunline Brands, later Nestle; where he retired.

That didn't stop Jack. He continued to work at various jobs, eventually sticking with Sam's Club until 2021.

Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years Jane, children Kelly (Richard) Kreigshauser, Michelle Flanagan, Kim Sanders, Kris (Megan) Sanders. He was a wonderful grandfather to Samantha (Brian), Jack, Brady, Bailey, Laney, and Cole. He even got the chance to be a great-grandfather to Brooks.

Jack was an amazing family man and a friend to many. People loved chatting with him at Sam's. He loved to fish, get hooked on a new TV series with his wife, and would spend hours looking at his son's photography.

He was proud of his family and would talk to just anyone about them. Nobody could tell a story like him. A talk with him could make a hard day or decision seem easy. He will be greatly missed.

Services: Memorial visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until time of the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Interment private. Friends may sign the family’s on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

Not sure what to say?

So many memories of Jack at Skyline! He was tough as nails but saved me many times from disaster with some of my crazy Marketing schemes. He was amazing in management of vendors and making sure our plant was always running and customer needs were met. Appreciated his wisdom as a Father of girls. And we both married beautiful Janes! May the memories of laughter and love support the Family!

Thinking of you. May he rest in peace
So many fabulous memories.! Xox

Jane and Family, so sorry to hear of Jack´s passing. I had the honor of working with Jack at Water Street. He made many of my marketing dreams come true with amazing packaging support. A great sense of humor, too! Faith, Family and memories will see you through. ~ Jon A.
