Not sure what to say?

John hired me for my first geologist job. It was in Casper, Wyoming in 1975. He asked where I was living and I told him "in a tent, on Casper Mountain ". He later told people that he didn´t want me to die up there!

When I read the sad news about John, I forwarded the information to my sister in NYC. She called and we both looked at the slides and photos together. We met John at the St. Petersburg Jr. Yacht club in the 1950's and both agreed he was really a very nice and special guy. We all went our separate ways but, as we looked at the slides, read the beautiful tribute written by his daughter, Laura, we were so happy, although not surprised, he had such a wonderful family and had done so many...

Love and prayers to all John's family from classmates in the St. Pete High Class of 1952.

Dear Laura, Missy and Johnny ~
We are all so saddened and sending our thoughts, love and prayers to you all. Laura, what a beautiful story you wrote on the Weebly page about your Dad. So many things I had NO idea about, you all really had a lot of fun adventures! Something you ALL can hold close to your hearts. We love you and know any one of us Coles are here for any of you, anytime! Love, Hugs and Peace... Beth

I grew up with John and he was a sailing buddy, friend, and brother. I'll miss him terribly.

I remember John from the Gulfport Yacht Club sailing days when we were both in high school.

I miss John. I miss the sailor that showed me how relaxing sailing is. Thanks John!
