John Sardone, 85, of Flagler Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022.

John, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, was born to Mary and Augustino in Brooklyn, New York on January 24, 1936. After graduating high school, John enlisted in the Navy, he served with 263rd Company on the USS Brough.

A meat cutter by trade, John lived and worked in New York until he moved to Florida in 1998 with his wife of 48 years.

John was always full of fun and laughter, the life of the party.  John enjoyed cooking, dancing, and bowling but especially spending time with his family. John was also a huge New York Mets and New York Giants fan.

John is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary; and son, Scott.

John is survived by his loving wife Donna; brother, Joseph; children, Christopher (Dayna), John, Debra (Robert), Desiree (Alfred) and Darlene (Anthony); thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the memorial room of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. An interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Thursday, January 20, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in John’s memory to Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Pkwy, Palm Coast, FL 32164, or your local hospice of your choice.

Its in moments like these that words fall short. But I hope you know just how much love we have in our hearts for Uncle John, and that you are all in our thoughts and Prayers.

Nobody laughed harder and cooked better than John.

Dad, love you and miss you. You brought us years of laughter and fun. We know you will watch over all of us. ❤
