Not sure what to say?

To Beverly and all the family we send our condolences. I knew "John" in school and Beverly in the First Presbyterian Church. It's been a long time since I have had any contact with any of you. My love to Genevieve. I remember when Bev and John became engaged. I found out at Dr. Racek's office and everyone was excited. Now I know that John is with his Heavenly Father that called him to come home.........

Like all who have had the opportunity to be with Bart, I, too, experienced such a treasure trove of gifts from him – personally and spiritually - that have sustained and nourished me into my adult years. Such wonderful memories still remain from those mid-to-late sixties in St. Mark’s (Palo Alto) EYC. I have to imagine that there is much joy in heaven as he is welcomed home.

If you are lucky, there are perhaps a handful of people that are role models for you throughout your life. Bart was such a person for me. The years he lead our EYC group at St. Mark's, Palo Alto, have influenced me throughout my life.He will always be in my thoughts and prayers!

Bart was such a huge part of my family growing up in Ross. Over the years he guided me in the Youth program, officiated in my wedding, brothers funeral, sons and husbands christening's. He instilled my faith and I will be forever grateful.

Bart stood with me offering solace, support and hope when I needed them most. He gave so much to so many. I feel blessed to have known him. My prayers will continue to be with his family.

We were really sorry to hear of Bart's passing. He was such positive influence in so many people's lives.
He married Jon and me and baptised both of our children. He never forgot my mother's birthday and had just sent her a card this August. He was a wonderful pastor and friend to many. Our condolences and prayers to Bev and family.

peace,
The Elias' and Mary J Isbell

Bart left a legacy that few could match. I was blessed to have crossed his path.

Traveling with Bart and the St. John's youth group to Appalachia and Alaska were major events in my life. His compassion, persistence, and zest for life influenced me profoundly.
