It was always a joy when Aunt Thurl and Uncle Shorty came Texas. All of us looked forward to playing dice and card games with them. Plus, they brought ice chests full of New York Italian sausage and other goodies. My favorite dish he cooked was sausage and peppers. Although I loved it, he would never give me a recipe.
