Not sure what to say?

John was a valuable friend to my father. He was at my fathers side throughout his treatments. He was always there to fix my fathers computer problems. I am sure they are both reunited in the heavens above tinkering with an abundance of tools. Prayers for Lynn and the family.

God Bless You my dear sister Hilairie. May God Bless you and your family now and forever more. Love Ya!

We are very sorry for your loss. Though we didn´t know your husband and father very well at all, we heard much about him from our son. Please accept our deepest condolences. Lynn and John Bick (senior)

John was a true "man for all seasons"! We first met at a coffee shop on Oak Street about 25 years ago. John plus four passionate friends had a vision to recreate Oak Street as a thriving neighborhoood center that would revive the whole area. I was honored to be a part of this success story and spend countless meetings with John in backyards, night meetings and every restaurant in the neighborhoood! The last time we hung out was at his "cottage" on the river! By the way this is no cottage....

Deepest Condolences to the entire Schackai family, friends, and colleagues. I wonder if John studied with my Dad, Robert Schenker, in the School of Architecture? It was a grand faculty and staff at Richardson in the 1970s. (I was a Newcomb graduate then, and continued on at TU for my M.A., also in Art History -- but architects were my favorite people!) John must have been an enormous asset to New Orleans over the years, especially post-K. I am not certain if our paths actually crossed,...

Lynn, So very sorry for your loss, my sincere condolences.

My condolences and prayers to the Schackai family. I never met Mr John but I knew his lovely wife Ms Schackai. Thinking of you at this difficult time. Adrina Houston

Lynne, I am so sorry for your loss. Such a lovely man and so glad I got to know him through Louisiana Landmarks. It was always delightful to see both of you.

Lynn, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Know that I know what you are going thru due to the passing of my husband last year. I pray that your heart stays strong with Johnny´s love. My prays are for your families peace and comfort. Johnny and you were always so sweet to me all of my life. He was such a lovely guy. Just always know that Love Goes There Michele (family by marriage, we shared a wonderful aunt)
