John, was a great man and co worker. I will continue with fond memories. RIPmy friend.

It was a sad day when I heard of the passing of John, he truely was a great friend and mentor.

Cathy, Nikki & John Michael & Family: My heart & spirit is dampened today - sad to see that John has passed away. So sudden...I wish I could have been there at the funeral. I would have said that Mr Schminky was one the most kind & sincere boyscout dad & leader. I will forever cherish the moments & talks I had with him. Please stay strong family; he is resting comfortably & wants you to make him proud. I know I will.

My family and I are deeply saddened by the passing of John. We didn't get the pleasure of seeing him (and you, Kathy) often; but, when we did, we truly enjoyed the conversation and the laughter. He was a great man, easy to see why i loved by all. I will sincerely miss seeing him when coming to see Wyatt play baseball, football, and wresting. Our thoughts are with you. Laura, Brad, Brandon, Bryce, and Judi.

Cathy, I was shocked and saddened by the news of John's passing. I was away and just came home Sunday evening or I would have been to the services. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless you.
