John Schnabel

John was a very special, one of a kind man. I've watched the show from the beginning and have to say it's not the same without John. He had a good life. I'm sure he's very proud of what Parker is accomplishing. RIP Grandpa John.

Granpa John was one of those people who had an excellent work ethic and truely cared about people right up to the end. He has been gone for some years now but is still here with each of us, in our hearts. Deepest, belated, condolences to his family especially Parker. I know he is very proud of you.

Om Shanti RIP , I am From India as has started watching Gold Rush in 2024 , don't no why I got strange connection with him, his talking style is very calm and makes the environment calm , he don't speak much what when he speaks it worth considering, his commitment to work after heart attack and his depth of words after seeing the end closely, his love for his grand son. He was among the greatest person I know.

I´ve watched since season 1. Grandfather John was the special relative we all wanted in our lives. May he R.I.P.

John Schnabel was a wonderful example of a great son, father, grandfather-- and from what I saw on Gold Rush, we can all learn much from him... he was an inspiration!

John Schnabel has touched my life in a way that has changed me forever. What a beautiful soul! I wish I could have been in his life. The way he loved Parker is so moving. I´ve been binge watching Gold Rush and feel the loss of this man on earth profoundly. I can´t wait to meet him in Heaven! I can only imagine the loss his family felt at his passing.

Just started Gold Rush, they just don´t make em like John anymore. My dad will be 101 in January, and man, these guys are true treasures. My dad grew up in the depression, worked as a toolmaker, then drove a school bus till he was 90. Thank you for sharing John with us, his devotion to family, and investment in Parker´s success has just been wonderfully heartwarming.
