Grandpa, I'm really going to miss you. Thank you for always being there and for all the support you've given me. I do wish we could have spent more time together, but I'm happy with the time we had. Love you.

Uncle John always had a smile, a big hug and joke to make us laugh. We still make Uncle John's famous vegetable soup. Sending Lots of Love and a BIG HUG!

Still make Johnnie's chip dip - no other will do. My late husband worked at the station and we played cards with John and Nona back in the 50's. Super nice family! My deepest sympathy to his family.

Stopped by the house in A2 yesterday to visit his beloved Jane and felt the incredible absence of one so dear. So much to be said about a life well lived and John. He was compassionate, funny, full of joy and loved his family. I would bring my broken and bruised rescue dogs and they told me the most important story, that John was a man they could trust. I will remember the little baggies of home made Chex Mix and cookies he rushed to fill when I was leaving. Warm hugs and that quirky smile....

We send our sympathy to John's family members as he will certainly be missed by them all. John, an energetic soul, almost alway had projects going, yet also had time to welcome friends who stopped by to visit. We treasure the handmade projects he shared with us over the years and will always think of him when they are displayed, especially during the Holidays. It is our honor to have known him. So sorry to hear the family news . I also worked at the station from 68-71 during my college years with young John and Tom , yes the football Saturday's were special . Always a great family to spend time with .
