Not sure what to say?

Mary Margaret, as I read your Father's obituary my mind was flooded with many memories.
First, I remembered his interesting and challenging geography classes. Then came the great memories of the times that I spent with you at your house, the games that your parents took us to, and your Mother who was my English Teacher. The name "Schrack" will always be remembered with cherished thoughts!

Joyce Raudenbush Smith GM 1955

Mr & Mrs Schrack were not only teachers but family friends as well. They were both unforgettable.
Mrs. Schrack was my teacher for both Latin & English and who could forget Geography with Mr. Schrack???
I have thought of him often when travelling as I never expected to see the places he taught us about! They were gifted teachers.....and who could forget Mr.Schrack's 'eagle eye"...he never missed a thing!!! My condolences to Mary Margaret and her family.
Sincerely, Barbara...

John Schrack...you were our teacher,
guidance counselor,and most of all,
our friend. We cherish the attention you and Mrs. Schrack gave to us in our formative years.
We have so many fond memories of you both.
Dixie (Craley) Kreider SHS Class of 1953

Condolences from the SHS Alumni Association.

Mr. Schrack was genuinely concerned about his students, especially when he sensed that they might be headed in the wrong direction. I was constantly amazed at how much he knew about goings-on that we would have preferred to keep from him. I consider myself privileged to have known him.

My deepest sympathy to the family.

Mr. & Mrs. Schrack will be remember by me for all of my days. I was graduated from Governor Mifflin in 1957. Mrs. Schrack was taught me Latin and Mr. Schrack was my guidance counselor as well as the person who began the Pennsylvania German Club. Best wishes to Mary Margaret and her family. John was an icon for many of us and I'm sure caused him to pause and muse at our behavior.

So sorry to hear of John Schrack's passing, but he certainly earned his rest. I knew John when I first taught school at Gov. Mifflin in 1964. One of the world's 'special people'.

It was my pleasure to communicate the past few years with Mr. Schrack. He did respond when he was able, and proudly mentioned his attaining the century mark. I called him on his 99th and 100th, and he was grateful for the remembrance. I will notify Rebecca Heffner, in Fl, who has asked about him recently. Sincere sympathy on his passing to family members.

I have many good memories of Mr. Schrack and my struggles with Latin when I was at SHS. I graduated in 1949. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
