Read MoreSpent many hours with John in the "black lung lounge" at Newhall on our breaks correcting papers. He always had 3 or more pencils with him and they were perfectly sharpened. My sympathy to his family. Rest in Peace John.

Mr. Schripsema was my 8th grade English teacher at Newhall Junior High. I can remember him always making class fun, sitting back with his feet up on the desk while we worked, and always being available to answer questions. Rest in Peace, Mr. Schripsema!
