Not sure what to say?

John,
We had some great times together--at our duck lake on Sauvies--at your beautiful trout lake--shooting the breeze about politics with Wendell at the club.
But greatest of all were those times we shared in combat in the Pacific during our country's worst war.I have some vivid memories of those dangerous times. But the one I recall most often is a scene of you sitting in your tent on the edge of the jungle, gazing at Jean's photo propped up on your footlocker.
I'll see you...

Amy just told me today of Mr.Schwabe passing away. To Mrs. Schwabe, Susie (who I had a crush on)Annie and Ronnie I am thinking about all of you. It brings back some great memories, Patton Court and SW Davenport and it has been so long since I have seen you. Please know you are in our prayers. Alan Wurzweiler

I wanted you all to know that I have great memories of all the Schwabes growing up on Patton Court. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love to all, Amy Wurzweiler Lowes

Ralph has wonderful memories of your Dad and your family, Annie. Our thoughts are with you all at this time. Myra

Dear Jean and family:
I was saddened to see in the Oregonian about the death of John. I always had special memories of him from the time we both lived in Southwest Portland-you on Upper Drive and us with the Periander address across the gully.
As we Irwin kids lived without a Dad, we were always impressed with your complete family. My mother, Eloise Irwin, appreciated your friendship and help in her widowhood so much. She died April 7, 2010.
John helped steer me to Steven...

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

I was honored to practice law at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt for seven years while John was still working regularly. He was always gracious to everyone there regardless of one's job. He will be missed.
