John Joseph Sciarra M.D. Ph.D.

I´ve known Jack for almost 20 years, having met him through ACOG and FIGO activities. We were particularly simpatico since we shared a common Italian-American background, both hailed from the New Haven area and both attended Yale prior to our medical educations. As you know, he was an amazing man. Always the perfect gentleman, and at the same time extremely effective. Our specialty of obstetrics and gynecology owes him an incalculable debt. Requiescat in pace, amice mi.

I am a retired OB/Gyn. I didn´t know him personally, but most certainly read his written chapters and scholarly articles when I was in training. I want to thank him on behalf of all students and residents who, although anonymous to him, nevertheless learned a great deal from his knowledge, wisdom, and skill. His reach within the OB/Gyn community was massive. With great respect, from a fellow West Havener.
