John Scott was an intelligent human being who knew all sports as well as anyone. He was a quiet person with a very competitive spirit. I loved him like a brother and the world will miss a great man.

Lorraine and the Scott family, Bunny and I are thinking of you at this very difficult time. Scotty was a wonderful person and I had the honor of playing football with him at Catawba College during the 64/65 & 65/66 seasons, and I can attest firsthand to his outstanding quarterback skills. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the entire Scott family. I watched John play in HS and got to play with him 1yr at Catawba. what a great athlete and an even greater person. When I was inducted into the Gloucester Co HOF, imagine how shocked I was when I arrived and John was there at my table. That is the kind of person he was.
