Not sure what to say?

I'd stop in to see John anytime I was in Dallas. The moist remarkable man I ever met. He'd say"the Elliott boys and the Beechy boys...how are they doing? They say if you leave this world with one admirer you've accomplished something in life. I can't even imagine how many admired John for the kind, loving gentleman that he was.
Thank you John for your advice when I needed it.My prayers are with the Searcy family.
Sincerely Bill Elliott

John Marvin was my father, Ronald Searcy's cousin, but much more than that, he was our friend. And much like the other untold thousands he was a friend to, I was never able to match his friendship, kind word for kind word, and kind deed for kind deed.

None of us will ever know even a small fraction of the people he helped with his wisdom, encouragement, and resources. He built one of the largest companies in the world on the foundations of Christian principles. However, I think we...

All though I was only privileged to speak with Mr. Searcy a couple of time during my time with Interstate Batteries he impacted my life with such a great force. He will truly be missed and his personal values and beliefs will always be cherished by me. My prayers are with the Searcy family and my heart is grateful for having the opportunity to meet such a great man.

I was always impressed with how genuinely kind and thoughtful Mr. Searcy could be. He also always seemed interested in the lives and families of those who worked for the company he founded. He was a living, breathing example of uncommon humility and grace, although he could be very feisty. John had a kind of energy I admire standing still, as if he was fully rested and ready to leave on some rip-roaring adventure. Our prayers go out to his family and all who love Mr. Searcy.

It has only been in the last few years that I was blessed to discover I was a part of the Searcy family. Uncle Marvin was the first person I met & he lovingly accepted me unconditionally. Some precious memories were made in our brief acquaintance. I only regret I didn't find him sooner. I pray God's comfort on all the family.

John Searcy was a remarkable man who touched the lives of many, many people. His thoughtfulness and loving memory will live on forever in our hearts.

John Marvin was what we call a "distant cousin" of my dad, Ronald Searcy, but we never ever thought of him as "distant". He charmed our entire family from old to the very young with his enthusiasm, energy, optimism and genuine interest in our lives. We didn't see him nearly as often as we would have liked, but he was often in our thoughts and conversation, and always will be, I guess. He told me before that he tried to live his life in a way that would be pleasing to God. I can't wait to...

"Searcy" was truly a great man. Vision. Diligence. Passion. Kindness. Considerate. One of my heroes.
