Not sure what to say?

I never got to meet John, but had recently contacted him for assistance in doing an article on the IGL studio in Milford for Wikipedia. In my brief emails to him I was impressed by his warmth and willingness to help. My condolences to his family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Johns passing. Having been in the family yrs. ago, I remember Johns kind and gentle spirit, and a rock and roller talent! My prayers to his family!!!

I was so sorry to learn of John's passing. He was one of my bosses when he was Product Manager of the Marine Products at Pure Fishing. John was always happy go lucky and even after we both retired from Pure Fishing he always had time to say hello if he was out and about and we would run into each other. I regret that I was unaware of John's passing as I would have been to the funeral. Nevertheless, my heart goes out to Naomi and all of the family and my deepest sympathy. He was a good man.

Sorry to hear about John's passing. My sympathy to his family. He was a classmate who was important in many more ways than his music. All of us in the high school class of 1958 will miss him.

John was a pioneer of Rock & Roll in Iowa. We remember his love for music. He encouraged our band, The Escorts/Do's & Don'ts. We started in 1959 and we are still playing. Sending our love and sympathy to John's family.

John was an early friend/mentor of mine while I worked in the shipping department at Berkley and Company and he in the shipping department. His inspiring words and advice led me into a lifelong journey in the music world. John said, If you want to play and not be a Star then be a bass player as no one else wants that spot, do not think you will get rich, love what you do and never give up your Day Gig. For over 55 years I have followed that advice and am known in the Blues world as...
