Not sure what to say?

I never got to say goodbye to him and of course now it's too bloody late, isn't it? It only just hit me now. I was a little sidelined during the last few rounds of his fight, and like one would expect he kept Death off, working the jab and circling. He might be going down, but he was going down fighting all the way. Anyone expecting something else was a fool. Against incredible odds he stayed ( spiritually if not if not literally ) on his feet, a fierce warrior with a heart that didn't...

Thank you for all the stories and memories with you. For all the life lessons and surprise. The most brillant and wonderful person you were to me and I'll always remember every word you said to me. I miss you Grandfather and always love you sir.

A lot of people knew John Sermon as their friend, or a co-worker,or a neighbor, but he was my father-in-law. I married into the Sermon family 35 years ago, it took me a long time to get used to this family. They were always hugging one another, and I wasn't used to that. I was a little scared of the gentle giant. Though the years John(my husband) and I needed dad's help with one thing or another, first he would try to tell you how to fix it. When that didn't work he would have to come over to...

Had the pleasure of working with John over the years at Consumers. He was a very skilled operator who knew and understood the Karn plant very well. A very easy person to work with, he will be missed. My condolences to his family.

John was a great Boss and he was my first boss of many. The thing that made John the best was he never look down and any one, He was a very good teacher. Consumer Power Now Consumer Energy should be thank full that he pick they to work for. You got your money worth. Thanks John for being My friend and Boss. I have Miss having you as my boss.

He was a hero to many of us kids ,always willing to teach and ask questions that challanged us in a positive way.
You all helped to make our neighborhood the Place it was for us kids.
Loved the machines that cralwed out of the tiny garage shop.

To the Sermon Family:

John was an amazing man. I can always remember him tinkering around the garage with his home made little giant or trying to keep the Dodge fleet in tip top shape. He leaves behind great memories and you should be proud of how strong, caring, and gentle he was.

To the Sermon family:
My love and respect for my former father in law has never wavered. John was an amazing person. His mechanical ability, outstanding strategic mind, and his work ethic were unmatched. We played chess for hours on end and how his mind worked was always amazing to me. I thank God for both John and Shirley accepting me as part of their family.

I will always miss John. I am just thankful his worldly pain has finally passed.
