John was born on May 7, 1925 and passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. John was a resident of Varina, Virginia at the time of passing. He received his Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Richmond. He was a decorated WWII veteran in the Army and Air Corps and the U.S. Air Force as pilot. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday TODAY at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. where services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday January 30 2016. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church 130 Beulah Lane Warsaw Va. 22572. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hanover Humane Society.
Becky and Johnny, I have so many fond memories of you and your loving father, John. He will never really leave us; you know that. So thank God for the time we had with him. God will take care of him now. I love you, Gloria
