Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I had John for English when he first arrived at F-M & have remembered his fantastic teaching style all these years. He made a wonderful impression I will never forget and helped me learn how to think about learning differently - as a gift not a chore. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Sally,
We were so sorry to hear of John's passing. It had been a pleasure to meet John and his wonderful family at
Great Camp Sagamore.
Please come to Sagamore in May so that the support of old friends can be there for you in this healing place

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Sue, Sierra and Forrest - I was so sorry to hear about John. I knew he was battling this awful disease for some time now. As you know, I lost my father to this disease 2 years ago so I know exactly what you are feeling. May God bless you and lift you up in this time of need. John is only gone if you let him go. Love to you all. Tamara Corbacio (Tammy Yerrick)

What a loss. I have and always will think of Mr. Shafer very fondly. What a wonderful teacher! My heart goes out to his soul and the family.

My sincere condolences to all of you! Mr. Shafer was a remarkable teacher. I thank God I was able to cross paths with him. He will be missed, but remembered fondly!

Dear Sue Forrest and Sierra, I am so sorry to hear about John. He was one of the funniest, nicest guys I knew. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Susan, Forrest, Sierra, Sally, Steve, Rick and Jeff and your families,

Great Camp Sagamore (where I first met John) kindly sent the sad news about John's death. Words are inadequate to express my sympathies to all of you and your families at this time. I am so sorry for this loss in your life.

Dear Sally: You were missed at Sagamore last October, but we understood your first concern was with your son. My condolences to you and all of your family. Ted Reich (Window washer)

Dear Sue, Forrest & Sierra -
You're in my thoughts and I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Mom & Dad have kept me up to date on John's condition over the past several months, and although I haven't seen all of you in many years now, I do remember fondly all of the Christmas gatherings we've shared together since we were kids. John was a bright and energetic person and I'm sad he was taken so soon. May you find peace in knowing he touched so many people's lives.
