We remember Johnny as a very sweet man - when he would come to Ruth and CLarence's house he was always very kind and had lots of stories to tell. He loved spending time with our son Jay - can't remember the last time we saw him. Until we meet again - Rest In Peace

thank you for rmemberin my Mom and Dad in your obit (Clarence and Ruth Shannon) since Grandpa died almost 27 years ago (nov) the family hasn't been very close. But you brought a tear to my eye reading it, and Dad has been gone for 8 1/2 years himself.

John was my uncle; my mother's brother. He is now the last to die of the three children born to Raymond H. Shannon & Ruth A. Shannon union. My mother was his one & only sister, Allene. I have many memories, as a youngster, of him coming to our home for visits; especially holidays. My mother was very fond of her brother.
