Not sure what to say?

I served with him, aboard Bainbridge, when LT Shaw was deep selected for LCDR. Few who knew him were surprised when he made flag rank. RIP

Dear Jan, It is with great sadness that Colleen & I learned of Jack's death today. He will be remembered for his boundless capabilities and unsurpassed performance, one of the finest Naval Flag Officers with whom I had the pleasure of serving !

Dear Jan and family,
Jack will be missed by the all the people that he knew. I'll miss his laugh as we chalenged each other playing cards or at the many jokes told among his 1956 Hagerstown classmates. Our Simpathy is with you .

Jan & family,
Debbie and I are so sorry for your loss. I know I will see his smile again with our Lord and all the Angels when I get there too. May Jesus and His mighty Holy Spirit be with you now and always.

Jan and Family:
I was very sorry to learn that we lost Jack. We were the same age, cousins, and grew up near one another in Fortville, Indiana, before Jack moved to Hagerstown at around age 6. We continued to see each other frequently until he left for the Academy. He was a great kid- and loved to play with a set of toy soldiers he kept under the stairs in his house.
I regret we didn't see more of one another during our adult years, but I am glad we were able to have two long...

Jan & Family We are truly saddened and in shock at Jack's passsing. He was a good friend and classmate. I will miss hoisting a BayHawk Beer with Jack as well as his smile! He was a mentor to my son when aboard the 'Billy-B' and as a result, my son joined the Navy too! Thanks, Jack!

Jan and Family,

I am so sad to hear of Jack's passing. It was an honor to know him and care for him in the ICU at Balboa. He was truly a dynamic, strong man who made an impact on everyone his life touched. With deepest sympathy.
