So sorry to hear about John my prays are with you and your family he was a great person.

May god rest John's soul in peace, we lost a good man and it's still a shock. We are keeping him in our paryers and god bless you and keep you strong. Love you, Sherri and Nancy from Accounting

I began taking lessons with John in Little Silver when I was about 7 years old. For the better part of 10 years, John taught me everything from diversity of baseline shots, to serving at spots instead of simply serving to my opposition. He took me from a good player to a great player and enabled me with the skills to win a New Jersey State Championship when I was 16. His dedication to teaching was unmatched and his personality was contagious. In addition to tennis, John taught me about...

To the Shaw family. I'm extremely sorry for your loss. John was a great coach to me and essentially got me to play college Div1 tennis. I will always remember him reaching out to me throughout my career and his tough tactics to get me back on track. I dreaded but loved our sessions together and i'm sure many felt the same.

To the Shaw Family,
The world lost such a great tennis coach! My deepest sorrows go out to you. Please know that John pushed me to my limits and beyond and has imprinted on my life to make myself a better person. I have very fond memories of him from the Tennis club on Hwy 34 in Matawan, NJ. My prayers are with you.

Shaw Family:
The Fahey Family is so very sad for your loss. Mr. John Shaw was a special person who sparked and channeled my sister, Daryl, brother Matthew, and my passion for tennis. He will be forever in our thoughts and prayers.

We wish words could express our deepest sorrow. It is a great shame that John's innovative style of coaching will be forever lost to the world. We miss a great friend and a great man but he will always live in our hearts. God bless his soul!

I went to school with John, K-12 at St. Joseph's. Always a friendly face, always a helping hand, always a gentleman, so many fond memories. My condolences to all his family and friends. To soon to lose a man so fine!

The greatest legacies a man can leave are the good memories and deeds that people will always cherish. We will always remember you for your selflessness, the love you bestowed, and the help and advice you would give to anyone who asked for it. You will live in our hearts forever. Until me meet again!
