I'm sorry to read about John. I remember a picture of Johnny, Jeff O'Connor and my brother Ron Blanchard in our back yard with their football uniforms on, all muddy when they were about 12. Every monring Ron and I would go to your house to walk to school with everyone. Every time I hear the Doors "light my fire" I still think of those mornings. My friend Johnny Sheaffer has passed away at the far too young age of 56 It is hard for me to express the sorrow I feel for his wonderful family as well as my own feelings for the loss of such a great person. John was so easy to be with, friendly, very intelligent, caring and overall just the sort of person everyone needs to know in their life. I have so many fond memories of John in so many scenarios...playing in the Turkey Bowl, driving by any one of numerous local athletic fields and...
