A tribute to my godfather is easy. He was my dad's best friend since 1st grade. Both their lives paralleled for decades through grade school, high school and the Air Force. They married beautiful women who are smart, funny, loving mothers of 5 each, who all grew up to be caring and strong. He always made us feel welcome in his home, even on a very short notice which I've been guilty of for the past few years. Sorry to hear the news from georgia that John passed- away.. he was a great man and I will cherish the memories we had . I'm glad I got to vist you this past summer.
