Not sure what to say?

To the entire Sheffield family:
I know I don't need to tell you what a special man your father/grandfather was, or how much he'll be missed.
Mr. Sheffield used to work with my father (George Karns) in the X-Ray Dept @ EB many years ago. They used to carpool together. I'll never forget one day it was my birthday & Mr. Sheffield was so extraordinarily thoughtful as to go out of his way & leave me (~5 or 6) a gift. I can't remember what it was, but I'll never forget how much it...

It is with great sadness that I have learned of the passing of Mr. John Sheffield. From what I know of him, he set a fine example of how to live one's life and conduct one's self. Another member of the ''Greatest Generation'' has slipped away from us.
My sympathy to his family.

To all my cousins,
I'm very sad that my Uncle has passed, but glad that he is no longer suffering. I've had some really nice visits with Uncle in the last few years and got to know him so much better than I did before. He told me stories of his youth, stories about when you were all growing up, things that happened on the farm and how much he loves you all. I'm grateful that I was able to be a small part of his life, he had the ability to make me feel like I was so important. He was...

Dad,

My love for you is eternal. You were my inspiration and always will be. The greatest gift you ever gave me was my sister "Joy". And, to Harold you were a best friend. He will miss you. Please know Joy, and now you, are truly the " Wind beneath my wings". I love you,

Dotty

Dad,
You were the strongest man I ever knew. You raised me in that garden paradise you created in Preston with the sweat of your brow. You taught me so many things, including practical things like how to fish (I’m still working on that one), how to catch a muskrat, how to shoot straight, and how to grow a garden. You would be proud of my garden. Mostly, though, you taught me values like honor and duty to country and family. You taught me the virtues of patience, perseverance, and...

Dennis, please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your dad. You and I were good friends in high school, and I won't ever forget you.
Very Truly yours
