Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Shelander,

You and Mr. Shelander were part of my growing up on Tanager with Johnnie. His big booming voice scared me, when I was young, and made Johnnie and I think twice about doing dumb stuff. (We did alot of dumb stuff anyway!) It's been many years since I've seen any of you, but wanted to let you know I remember those times with happiness and wanted to extend my greatest sympathies. My best to the rest of the family.

I met John when he transferred into K of C Council 8771. I spoke with John when he attended our meetings and since he is a Past Grand Knight, he gave me a few pointers. I remember seeing John at the October Fourth Degree exemplificaton when his son-in-law Tim Wetmore, became a Sir Knight. I didn't know John. But he was a 75th MACr & that's all I need to know about him. He was family in that respect. God bless and deepest sympathies.

I knew John from the 75th MAC. We worked in the Support Force together and he was a dedicated and trusted leader. So sorry to hear of him passing, my God bless him and keep him.

My Thoughts and Prayers to the family.

I worked with and knew John from the City of Houston. My prayers are with his family. I'm sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Shelander:

John was a very nice person, we worked together at Fleet Maintenance, under the leadership of Mr. Carl Bowker. He respected everyone , and was a great boss.

I knew John Shelander from both the 75th MAC and working at the City of Houston. I can't remember him not smiling. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

We considered John one of the finest men we ever knew and he
was a wonderful neighbor and we
will miss him terribly. Our sincere
love and sympathy to all the family.

Lee & George Autrey

Very sorry to learn of John's death, we send our sympathy to the family.
I served with John in the 75th MAC
for a number of years, he was a unique and dedicated leader.
