John W. Shell

I worked with John in the '80s with Iolab. What a great role model of being a fine interesting person who was successful and encouraging. A real prince of a guy.

Barbara, You know we loved both you and John very much. My deepest condolences to you. I will always cherish the memories of the Waxa Reunions and the times and fun that we shared, individually and as a group. Those mental images will always be a treasure to me. Thanks to both of you for being such wonderful friends.

Barbara, I just now blundered into John's obit and want to tell you how very sorry I am about his death. He probably has never told you but he was my best friend when we were kids. Also, he was the example which caused me to eventually earn my own Phd.

I remember Dr. Shell's dignity, intelligence, kindness and generosity. My prayers are with Mrs. Shell, John, and Suzy.

My codolences to the family. I met John in Boulder, Colorado when we were students and fraternity brothers. I remember him well and his sincere and friendly way.

I would like to extend my deep condolences to Dr. Shell's wife, Barbara and their family on their loss of John. He had the remarkable gift of high intellect and great humanity.
