Not sure what to say?

Dearest Margie, Only recently did I learn of your loss. John was so very special to me from the time we first met in May of 1964, on the day he personally hired me into the department of "Oxygen Therapy at SJMH. OT, soon matured and developed into Inhalation Therapy and then Respiratory Therapy, all thanks to John and his vision into the future and unparalleled leadership. I loved John, his presence, skills, leadership and great smile and humor. I well remember when you two met, what a...

John was a great influence on all of us that worked with him. John brought me into his department in 1963, helped me learn the profession , guided me and was influential in me securing my teaching position. He understood how the world worked at a young age and freely spread that knowledge among his peers like me who did not have that type of understanding. Best wishes, Carl Hammond

Dear Margie, I too just learned of John's passing throught the AARC Times article written by Sam.

I worked under John at St. Joe's in 1967-1969 while a student under Carl Hammond at Washtenaw and really learned a lot about how a professional RT group needed operate. There were soooo many really good Therapists that were there then, before and after, that surely took what John and his department taught them. Over the first 20 years after leaving AA and managing several RT groups, I...

Dear Mrs Shelton,
I was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of John's passing.
John and I worked in the AARC House of Delegates in the late 60s and we went on to build the profession and its organization in different directions.
He always exhibited professionalism and was friendly to all.
I saw him last at my induction to the AARC Fellowship where he was assisting (as was usual for John) whoever needed help in the ceremony.
I only discovered your loss by the...

Dear Margie,
I got to know John when I was a student in the Inhalation Therapy program in the late '60s. John and I kept in touch especially after he went "commercial". He will be missed. I am so sorry for your loss.
God bless.

Hi Margie, Been a long, long time. I have fond memories of John; most certainly his work expertise, but also of fun at the cottage and of course his at times develish ways. I will be thinking of you and John. My best regards.

Dear Margie, I'm saddened to find this news about John. As others have conveyed their feelings of lasting impressions that John made upon their lives, I likewise share the same with them. John was a particular mentor for me in learning and appreciating important work ethics, and treating everyone fairly. Many fond memories of John remain vivid to me this day. May this offer comfort to you and those close to you.

Margie
We are sorry to know that John is gone. We hope that you have funny memories and family stories that will give you comfort at this difficult time. Everyone who knew John had at least one story. He was a generous person, gracious host and smart manager. You are in our hearts. We send you lots of affection and virtual hugs.

Margie,

My memories of John start with his large smile and hearty laugh. My career started with John, and that experience taught me to enjoy work and always be ready to help. You and John are in my prayers. God bless.
