Not sure what to say?

It was an honor to work with John at IndustryWeek for four years. He was always kind, funny and of course an excellent journalist. I enjoyed golfing with John several times and will never forget him bragging about golfing every month of the year in Cleveland. My deepest sympathies to his friends and family.

Jay was the best Brother in law anyone could have. He was a wonderful Uncle to all 3 of my daughters, visiting often during their childhood always laden with gifts from him and Aunt Elaine. I can't thanks them enough for their love. My love goes out to you, Elaine, and may the many wonderful memories carry you. Extra love out to Kathy, Jaime , Stu, Dori, Sarah and Amanda. He will be missed and always remembered well. With love, Dava

Sorry to hear about Jay. May he rest in piece.

Sorry to hear of John's passing

Dear Elaine, Irene and I extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the tragic loss of your beloved husband John.

I have known John since 1966 when I connected with him and Tom Brazaitis at the Euclid News Journal. I was the school's PR Director and wrote a weekly column for the Journal, thanks to John's urging and encouragement.

He was so talented as a writer and reporter. He could write articles that would make you cry or laugh...in the same story.

We talked...

John was an All-Star Journalist and an All-Star human being.

His contributions to journalism at the Euclid News-Journal, The Plain Dealer, and Industry Week were of high quality -- and quantity! He was proud of both with good reason.

John was a classy guy and a friend to anybody and everybody he met along the way.

We miss you, John. But thanks for all you did for us along the way.

John and I send our condolences to the families. It is a difficult time for families and friends. May you all reflect on the fond memories shared and surround yourselves with loved ones. Although we never had the pleasure of meeting him, I know everyone who knew him will miss him terribly. Love from Paula and John, xo

Rest In Peace John.
