Not sure what to say?

John has been very close with my family for many years. He helped my grandfather and helped my father move up to Division I. John would put my dad on a lot of big games. I loved walking into the Trophy Shop when John had a smile on his face and would always say what kind of trophy or plaque I wanted. I would tell him, he said "I'll make it and come back around this time." When I went back into the trophy shop, it would always be ready. John gave me very good officiating tips on how to...

Good friends are hard to find, even harder to lose, but are never forgotten.John was always a friend to me during my many years with the IAABO and the Police Dept. May God light shine upon him. Peace to you and your family.

Dear Mrs. Sherlock and Family - My deepest condolences in the loss of John. I truly enjoyed coming to talk to John at the Trophy Shop during my tenure at Catholic Charities. John was so helpful and patient with the orders for the annual CYO Cheerleading and Awards Banquet! He was always smiling and that's how I will remember him. My prayers are with all of you.

To the Sherlock Family, we are saddened to hear of Mr. Sherlock's passing. It was a pleasure meeting him at past family BD parties @ Kara & Bob's home. Our deepest sympathies. God bless you all for strength and realize, all of you are legacies of John's love and commitement to family and friends. Sincerely, Kenneth, Clara & Sarah Fike xxxooo

Regina and family: John was my varsity baseball coach at St. Lucy's Academy in the early 1950's. We became reacquainted years later as we both attended Alumni Weekends at LeMoyne College. John was an excellent mentor and a wonderful man. May God hold him, and all the Sherlock family, in the palm of His hand.

With sincere sadness in the passing of John. He cared for and trained all the officials in Section III. He was our true leader. He is now assigning all the refs in heaven. Sincere sympathy to the whole Sherlock Family.
