Not sure what to say?

We've lived in Ranchita for 24 years now and have come to know the wonderful legacy of the Schick family. Johanna has been a friend for many years and through her, we have come to know John. Johanna is a caring and loving daughter who always has her family's best interest foremost in her heart.
Blessings to the family,
Carolyn and Steve Esposito

Johanna, I never had the opportunity to meet your father, but in knowing you, I realize that he must have been a wonderful person. My condolences to you and your family. I pray that the Lord will comfort you at this time. Gina Nichols

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

DR. Shick was one of finest employers I have had in my long 40 year career in the Radiology field. My deepest sympathy to Betty Jo and family.

My first day at Medical X Ray, i was told i would be working with Dr.Shick. I was warned to be very careful, because Dr.
Shick was still recovering from a recent heart attack.
This made me even more nervous. He was so patient and helpful.
I caught my heavy lead apron on the metal drawer and as i turned, the whole drawer hit the floor with a terrible bang. I just knew i had caused another heart attack or at the least would be fired. He just said,"upsey daisy". God Bless Him.

John was fortunate in his marriage and in his children. We remember how happy he was living on the mountain in Ranchita. Because of Betty Jo and John, we discovered Anzo Borrego State Park and will always be grateful for those beautiful hikes in Palm Canyon before the flood. Our love and sympathies to you all.

I have had the privilege of working with John's daughter, Johanna for several years now. It is evident that John's legacy of committment, loyalty, adventure, encouragement, patience and humor is secure in her. God bless!

A new and bright star shines over Ranchita's evening sky.
