John Jacob "Opie" Shipman II

This is for my buddy John. All I can say is i remember the good times we had in Tampa man what a place. John i know you are reading this & i just wanted to let you know Jamie & i have found "MONEY" we know that there is red fish in Weaks Bay. I'm gonna miss you man.

I have lost a great freind and coworker. The times I had with him were few but man what a guy. He was one of a kind. I know he will be missed by his family and I wish I could make the hurt go away. God bless!!!!

John was a great guy. We worked together...traveling to Tampa and Savannah for SCP. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of a father, son and brother...He was truly a wonderful and inspiring person to know. His intelligence and wit will be greatly missed. I feel lucky to have gotten the opportunity to meet and befriend him.

My condolences to the Shipman family who was like a second family for me growing up. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Thank you Opie for all the wonderful memories and all the great days of fishing that we had. I'll bring an exta pole for when we meet again so we can make one more cast. This world has lost one of it's best and he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Rest peacefully brother.

Opie was a great person. He was always happy and made others around him happy too. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Well the short time I knew John was great, every day he was at work was enjoyable for me because he never had any negotive vibe around him. He will be greatly missed around our jobsite and mostly in our hearts. We will miss you Opie especially those cakes you baked for us.

John was a compassionate person who always gave a smile and an encouraging word. He was missed when he left Hanil E Hwa and he will be missed....till we meet again
