To the Simchuk family, I was very sad to hear that John had passed away as he was a very kind man. This event happened over 42 years ago when my parents and I lived on Fox Island, yet it is a memory that I've held in my heart and sole all these years. Let me give you some background. Glad I got to talk to John on the phone, and continue with text messages! Great friend many memories water skiing back on Fox Island, glad we reconnected!!

Diane, what a beautiful tribute to John. I only met him a couple of times with Linda and John but not seeing you for years I remember you being so happy and excited for the next adventure. Take care and hold on tight to the memories. Carolyn

Big John, had such a positive influence on my youth. I was very fortunate to have known him and for all of the love I received from the Simchuk family.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I hadn't known John very long but long enough to have seen in him traits like honesty, kindness, calmness, humility, and compassion. He was an exemplary man. I knew him to have a listening ear and to be more interested in hearing the stories of others than in telling his own. Maria and I count it a blessing to have come to know John over these last few years, and we will really miss him at our little gatherings. Our sincere condolences to his wife, children, step-children, and grands.
