Not sure what to say?

Dear Dolores, I just heard about John's passing. I am sorry for you loss. Frank used to say that John was one of the nicest persons he had ever met. We had great husbands. May you be comforted by your family at this time.

Connie DeLoreto, Glastonbury, CT

My sympathy to the Skubel family. Wonderful memories of Coach Skubel at Derby High.

Dear Skubel Family,

Just heard of John's death. I worked with him for nine years at MAE. John was a kind, caring and principled man.
He is at peace with Christ.
Sincerely, Edgar Flynn

DOLORES, Jim and I just got home last night from a week in Charleston,S.C. and I read the letter written by Mike Lopos in the Sunday paper. So sorry. John was a wonderful influence on so many lives. And YOU were the strength that he relied on during his long battle with cancer. Now you need to focus on your peace of mind. Patty Pasinski-Barnes

Dear Skubel Family : I am so sorry that John has passed. He and I had many great conversations together at Muddletown Adult Education. He shared so many loving stories about your loving family. Especially the grandchildren. He is a warm and giving person. I will miss seeing him and having lots of laughs together. Loved his smile too :) My family is originally from Meriden too!!!! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He is your angel now.

I went to school with John for 16 years, K-8 at St Mary's, 9-12 at WWHS and four more at Central. I caught up with him when he brought his teams up to Winsted and more recently when we started an email relationship. I knew no one who persevered more than John. If you were lucky enough to have him be part of your life you were indeed fortunate.

To Dolores and family we here in South Carolina are deeply saddened by the death of John. We know he will be missed as he rests in peace with the Lord. He will forever be looking over All of you from above.

To the Skubel family, Coach Skubel was a remarkable man with a kind heart. With two generations of MHS Dragon football champions Jeff & Mike Gallaher & T.T. Gallaher, Coach Skubel touched the lives of my entire family with his care and compassion and his dedication to his players. May God bless and keep you during this time of sorrow.

To the Skubel family, so sorry for your loss. John was a great friend. We go way back to the picking tobacco times. Always enjoyed seeing John at Sportmans night. He will be missed. Tony & Ruth Ann Timbro from Ormond Beach, Florida
