John A. Skurat Sr., 84, of Brick, N.J., passed away on Monday, October 13th, 2025 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.  Born in Rahway, NJ to John and Anna Skurat, he proudly served in the Army Reserve from 1962 to 1968. As a dedicated Certified Public Accountant, John took great pride in his profession, always serving his clients with integrity and care. He was also a devoted parishioner of the Church of the Visitation in Brick.

John is predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Skurat.  He is survived by his three sons, John Skurat Jr., Robert Skurat and Thomas Skurat; his two daughters, Laura Citta and Jennifer Bauer; his sister, Gloria Osbourne; his twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Monday, October 20th, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home - 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ 08723. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, 9:30 AM at the Church of the Visitation - 755 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ 08723. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery - 1 Honey Locust Drive Lakewood, NJ 08701. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to the Popcorn Park Zoo in Lacey, NJ and the Jersey Shore Animal Center of Brick, NJ, causes close to John's heart.
