John T. Slater

While I knew John little, I grew up with Barbara at Silver Beach, our folks were close. John and Barb had my folks in for Thanksgiving dinner and I am always grateful for this. So sad in his passing, however he had a very outstanding career as an attorney, and most important, as a husband, father, grandfather, as well as friend to a lot. RIP ABB 541 688-6675

My dad. (John Louws) held John in high regard. He was a client of John. Dad has been gone for a few years now, but I remember the strong sentiment of respect that he had for John. Based on my experience with my dad and his judgement of character, John was a man of integrity who was appreciated by many.

John Slater was a great attorney and modeled excellence and professionalism as an active member of the state and local bar associations for many years. John served on the WSBA Board of Governors. He earned a reputation for kindness and thoughtfulness. He served as legal counsel to area school districts for many years. He was a good friend to many attorneys in private and government practice. He was generous with his time and his law library, which I appreciated and took appropriate advantage...
