In reading Jack Smith's obituary. I realized that I knew his wife. Olive. Olive's family lived in a house beside the river just down the lane from my grandmother, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Mellott. and my aunt Mary Mellott Lane and her daughters Mary and Helen Riley. who were a few years older than Olive.
