Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Smither family. Take comfort in knowing that he is at peace and watching over your family!

Dear Smither family:
You remain in our thoughts and prayers during your time of loss. Please know that my family and I were very proud to know John, and will miss him very much. His life was a true example of honor, success, and love.

John and I met at the University of Texas. Our paths have crossed in the most unusual ways. He has represented me legally, advised me professionally, and as a friend. His calm confidence will surely be missed. We both have fought Lymphoma and I will miss his calls updating me on the latest treatments. I miss you John and am very saddened.

It was my great pleasure to work with John during the National Folk Art Conference several years ago. A more gracious host, and dedicated volunteer I have never met. My deepest sympathy goes out to Stephanie and the family.

My deepest sympathy. Love, Billie

A finer man I have never known.

We miss John. his humaness and propriety, grace and soft spokeness all defined the class of this great friend
