Not sure what to say?

Fr. Smyth was a guiding light, A beacon to those who had no where else to turn like me, an orphan. He worked with me to figure it all out. I can honestly say it was a joy to meet him. I will pray for God and his angels to see him home.

Was a great man who helped me and all he could

God Bless Father Smyth. He married us. Forever grateful.

Thank you sir for giving me and my life a chance. Forever Grateful

Missing Fr Smyth every day he was one of the holiest people I ever knew ❤

I worked with Father John P. Smyth , serving on the Board of Directors of One Church One Child with him. I found him to be a kind, caring and compassionate person. During the Christmas Season, Father Smyth would sow into the homeless and needy ministry of New Life Baptist Church of Chicago. I served with him during the years of 1981-1990,

Dear Father Smyth,

It was such a wonderful experience working with you and all the Maryville Boys at all the Chuck Wagon daysat Maryville. All the boys that worked at all the events at Maryville with me agreed that you had the greatest impact on their lives. I cannot say enough about you.

You were a pleasure to work with and all the boys loved you and you gave them hope for a better life. Thjey all seemed to flourish after you reverrsed their course in life.

I used to go to the dances they had at Maryville Academy when I was a teen. I also met Father Smyth when I was a volunteer at the many Maryville chuck Wagon days. He was a wonderful man and he was so compasionate in regards to the children he mentored at Maryville Academy. He was a scolar in his own right and changed the lives of many children at Maryville. I have first hand experience as I knew and dated some of the Maryville boys,

Rest in Peace Father Smyth and I will never...

Father, I met you at the young age of 14 in 1976. In your kind & strong manor, you helped me thru a difficult time in my life. I will be forever grateful for the rest of my days. I will cherish the memories at Camp St. Mary & St. George in Clearwater Lake, Wisconsin. My wife Suzanne, Daughters Victoria, & Alexandra, are "Standing Tall" due to the values of Faith, Family, Education that you instilled in us, and made it your life's mission to help the many families in this great State &...
