Not sure what to say?

Well, here is my third attempt to put something here in the Guest Book. Though my second attempt did accomplish the posting of the photo in the Gallery.

What I want to say about Uncle Jack(even though he wasn't a blood uncle) is this:

Had it not been for the relationship I had with his brother Daniel I would not have had the honor and pleasure of knowing a gentleman of his caliber. I will miss his smile and the one gesture you could count on every time you got...

Uncle Jack was the last of my Father's family to pass away. I was always very proud of my Aunts and Uncles and cared for them all. When the family used to get together, my brothers and I would sit on the sidelines and marvel at the wit and intelligence.

Uncle Jack always made you feel that he was delighted to see you. And, as Greg has pointed out, he never had a harsh word to say about anyone.

He served his country during difficult times and was humble about his...

How do we say "good bye" to someone who is so dear to us all? We feel blessed that we were able to share a good part of his life and love.

Pop-Pop was the best friend anyone could ever ask for. He taught me many things throughout my young life that will always be a part of me. He was one of the kindest, most gentle people I have had the honor of knowing. I will miss him greatly!

My dad. Without a doubt, father or not, he was the nicest person that I have ever known. Never knew him to have a bad word to say about anybody. He was rightfully proud of his military service, and was proud when I, too served in the USN. He loved mom and me deeply, and the rest of the family, too. The one thing I'll remember most is that everybody who met him liked him, or better put, simply adored him, particularly children. I can only hope that as a son, I have met his expectations. I will...

All ofyou know what a great guy Jack was. Gentle, polite, and with a happy smile for everyone. He will be missed by so many people, but, especially me, for we had 50 wonderful years together and a great son, Greg, to share.

Jack Solloway, one of the best uncles I ever had. He always had a smile and a great big laugh, and always a "Fee Fi Fo Fum" on the back of any little kids neck. How he used to make his nieces and nephews squeal and giggle.

He was the last of the Solloway siblings and even though we'll miss him terribly I know he'll be happy up there with Nan and Pop and all of his brothers and sisters. Tell them all Hi for me, Unc.

Love you always - Laurie

Many, Many years ago Jack and I went to elementary school together.
I remember his as a caring nice person. As the years passed everyone drifted apart, and I haven't seen or heard from Jack over these many years, which I am sure is my loss.

I wish his friends and family well, and am sorry for their loss.
