My dad, Gabe, was friends with Uncle John since they were kids. John introduced Gabe to his cousin Flory, (my mom) and they were married! So without Uncle John, I would never have been born!
After my mom had passed away, my dad was distraught and morose for years, and I remember Uncle John trying to comfort him, telling him that he should rejoice in all the happy memories he had with his wife, and to recall all the fun they had traveling to Europe and Italy and all the happy times...
