Not sure what to say?

I met John in line voting many years ago and we became friends. He was a wonderful, warm/friendly man with a twinkle in his eyes. I have a group of friends (from my Bible study) that would Carol to him every Christmas, and he was a highlight of our evening. He will be truly missed.

I've missed you so much. I wish I could of been there. you were always there for me and my Children. You couldn't have been a better Father and Grandfather. I know they say blood is thicker than water, but with you that wasn't true. My heart aches at losing you but I know we will all be reunited one day. Until then John I love you. I miss you deeply. Love Susan.

My deepest sympathies to all the family of Mr. Spear, a much loved father and grandfather, and a true patriot who so loved his country! Thank you for your years of service! It was an honor to know you! And to call your three children my lifelong friends has been a pleasure, a privilege, and more than a blessing! Rest In Peace

Though, I have lived in FL and...

I love you Grandpy. Thank you for everything. You are irreplaceable.
Until I see you again....

On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI), I offer our sincere condolences on John's passing. You and your loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers. We are forever grateful for John's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service. To our Brother of the Phin we say, Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country.
