John and Ruth were our neighbors at Peters Pond Park during summer months. You couldn't ask for better neighbors. I am sorry I am just learning of this now. My condolances to the family.

Dear Sprague Family - Rodger and I were so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Although we never met your Dad, listening to John talk about him and reading all of the beautiful tributes to him on this site, he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. You are all in our thoughts and prayers today.

Mr. Sprague,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrirfice-first for our Country when you served in the U.S. Army during WW II and secondly for the citizens of Boston when you served with the BPD. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Your Father and Grandfather was a respected man who truly led his life in service to God, Country and Family .Everyone was better in knowing "Big John" as an officer or coach.Please enjoy the memories .

I want to echo all the sentiments expressed on these pages about you and your Father. He was a Great Father from the Greatest Generation. He certainly had his struggles these last few years and you have been devoted to him throughout. I know that he is now in Heaven with your Dear Mother. May they both Rest in Peace.
