I am so very sad to hear this news of John´s passing. I had the great pleasure of working with Mary and John while emploed at Mayflower Tours. I have never in my life met a couple that was so driven and successful while maintaining great relationships with their employees. I first met John when I applied to work at Mayflower Tours in late 1979-early 1980. I was so impressed with him and the knowledge he had of the business. One of the reason that I took the job with John and Mary was the loving and caring of not only eachother, but, their family. He loved Mary and it was a true love story. I have so many memories with both of them and their love carried to their employees and to the people they serviced through Mayflower Tours. I worked there many years...

I remember going to Halifax on a Fam with John in 2002 and we both walked up this steep hill to the Halifax Citadel Historic Site after breakfast to learn more about it's history. John was also a very competitive player on our Mayflower Softball Team back in 1999, and we had a lot of fun. He then gave me the opportunity to be a volunteer with Tourism Cares with helping clean up the Grand Canyon in 2015 .
