Mary,
We are very saddened to hear of your loss but we know that he is up in heaven telling all those railroad stories. He was a very good friend of ours and he will be truly missed. I will never forget 15 years ago when we were working together on the train one day and he asked me if we were going to invite you and him to our wedding and I told him sure as long as he brought a gift, and sure enough you both came to the wedding and brought a gift. I have learned alot about railroading...

Aunt Mary, Joni and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Johnny's passing. I know he is in a better place telling his stories. I will always remember when Aunt Mary would drop him off and my grandmother's house while she shopped at Publix. I would sit at the table and listen to them talk. After what seemed to be just a short time, he would start looking at his watch and wondering when she was coming to pick him up. He always had a smile on his face when she walked in. He will be...

Dear Mary and Family,
Our hearts and prayers are with you. We carry so many fond memories of Conductor John in our hearts. He was a kind and gentle man, a leader and a fine example to those with whom he worked. Those of us who rode the rails with John will always remember him.

Dear Mary, John, Jr., Joni & family:
My prayers are with all of you. We have peace knowing he is with the Lord and is no longer suffering. One of my fondest memories is of the times he drove me from Live Oak to Jacksonville and "entertained" me with singing and train whistles. I will especially miss listening to him tell us stories of the past. I love you all very much - Gayle

Mary, Johnny and Joni,
I am so sorry to hear of John’s passing. Some of my fondest childhood memories were of tossing a baseball with in the backyard of your Deauville Rd home. Big John was partly responsible for my love of playing the game which I carried for many years and those times were often remembered as I played catch with my own son.

May God give you all comfort during this time.

Mary & Joni,

I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing but know he's in a much better place with no pain & suffering. I know exactly what you're going through right now after going through this myself just 2 short years ago with David. It's especially hard at the holidays but the Lord will get you through them one day at a time. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

Joni, our hearts were saddened when we learned of your Dad's home-going. You will miss him terribly, but you KNOW he is in a BETTER place without pain or suffering. May God give you strength and courage in your loss.
We love you so much.

I was sorry to hear of John's passing. We worked together at CSX railroad for many years. I have fond memories of the times we rode together on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.
